Feedback Matters
Learning from the feedback we receive is really important to us here at Minehead Bay Festival, so thank you to everyone who took the time to share their thoughts through our feedback survey after this year’s Minehead Bay Festival. The insights, kind words, and thoughtful suggestions have been invaluable. We’ve reviewed every comment and are excited to share what we’ve learned and our plans moving forward.
What You Loved
It’s clear from the feedback that the festival was enjoyed by many. Here’s what you told us in the feedback. You enjoyed the:
- Incredible sense of community and togetherness.
- Friendly, welcoming atmosphere.
- Vibrant live music and diverse arts activities for all ages.
We’re thrilled that these elements contributed to making the festival a memorable experience for so many.
Plans for Improvement
We’ve listened carefully to all the suggestions and are already working on several improvements. Here’s what we’re focusing on:
- Expanding the variety of street food, drink options, and arts and crafts stalls.
- Improving toilet facilities to enhance the comfort and convenience of attendees.
- Extending the festival space along the seafront to accommodate more activities and visitors.
- Enhancing waste management by providing more bins throughout the site.
- Adding more seating areas, particularly near the main stage.
- Making the event more accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs.
Looking Ahead
One exciting idea we’re considering for future events is closing the seafront road during the festival. This would create a more cohesive layout, better connecting the circus, wellbeing, and arts areas with the rest of the festival. While this would allow the event to grow, it’s a significant undertaking that requires careful planning and additional funding. We’ll be exploring this idea further in the coming months.
